They got it off Nate and Sam hodges is the worse offender actually They all do it but yeah it is a bit Grubby...

I just watched the fight again, definite punch from Tate, but too late now. Bad decision for the vid ref not to word up the onfield ref.

Yeah that's right it was just a good fashion bit of rough play... Nothing wrong with that... And even QLD getting the penalty is ok with me cause Gal came back to have a go.

But Tate punching bird on the ground, is a step to far. & the penalty should have been reversed.

the elbow on the face, rubbing up with the hands, pushing ur head into the dirt is fair game. you see if every game even in local comp i play i cop it and dish it every game its part of football, its not penalty worthy. both sides were doing it all game

Hey just gave the penalty for the first punch he saw which was Gal. Surely they same process should occur each time, only way to get consistency

ha ha we bumped into each other at a westfiled car park in maroubra when he played for souths and laughed about that game, i knocked him out with a shoulder charge. the guy is 6 ft wide but not that tall.

i was 198cms and 135kgs when i played against him that game.

that was a try no obstuction at all if farrah instead of throwing his arms in the air complaining instead chased he could of EASILY been there to have a decent attempt at stopping that try

Re: Hodges try. I only saw one replay and would like to see it again. My thoughts are it was all good. No obstruction I thought. Sometimes a defence player can get sucked into the decoy (that's the farkin idea) runner and they might make minor contact but that's good luck to the attacking side.

It was poor defending but as a defender you should not expect that the opposition will run behind his own player. I do not think he interfered in the play but traditionally that would never have been given as a try.

As for the Tait stuff - he had an elbow or hand or something been applied with force on his face - thats what he reacted to. Gallen being an idiot reacted and cost his team a penalty. Him and Bird normally always give away lots of cheap penalties in Origin as they react so easily. I think that Queensland just bate them these days for an easy penalty. I would if I was playing them
