Couple of panoramas give a good idea of the remoteness of the paddle.

If you have a pair of gloves I would highly recommend that you use them for the rest of the trip. I always use gloves and swear by them. There is nothing worse than having blisters when you are doing consecutive days of paddling.

A simple pair of light gloves (sailing ones are good) will do the trick. Make sure they are not too tight as your hands will swell up a bit. I hope this helps...

Nah bro better to stick with it and build up the callouses....there are numerous ways to harden them up including pissing on them in the shower

Good luck.

Great effort, well done.

I guess you will find the Rottnest race a piece of cake this year.

Looking forward to hearing a few stories.

Hello Everyone!

My SUP adventure for the RFDS was a great success!!!!!!!!!!!!! Before I launch into an overview of the trip I would like to thanks all those who helped to support and encourage me not only in the planning phase but in the actual paddle itself!

So first of all thanks to Ian from Starboard who lend me the 12fter to paddle and to Steve for transporting it up to Exmouth! It would have been a long paddle on the 9ft quad!

A big thanks to my land support crew- Hannah, Shaz, Sam and Steph who set up camp numerous times and provided their Subarus for the trip!!! One ended up with a smashed windscreen and rear bumper!!!!! Thanks Hannah for your endless support before, during and after you are a STAR!

A HUGE thanks to the Hill family. Andrew (aka Hilly), Jen, Katherine and Drummond! Andrew and Jen kept me organised (I tend to forget important things like maps and legropes) and gave me a heap of company on the water. They even fed me their leftover pasta one night!!!! Ha ha ha. Thanks for the endless support through the whole process!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LEGENDS!

Also last but not least, thanks to Scott and Emma from Exmouth Kite and Board and Camper Hire who collected for me through the Exmouth kite expo and to Phil(Puppet) who was filled with encouragement and helped me advertise.

You are all awsome and I wouldn't have been able to do it without you!

I am planning to post some pics and an overview later on today!!!!!!!!!!

Cheers,

Rezzie
