Agree with Kissa. What a fun event and so well organised.
We can get too focused on the "elite events" and what size board to ride The events that seem to be thriving are the events that are still able to attract the top competitors like Kelly Margetts, Dave Kissane and Tim Cyprien but also attract a huge element of weekend family paddlers and people who just want to try a race or a surf comp.
I now have to diet and detox for the next month. Talk about value for money with all of that free food and cheap post race hydration.
