I am waiting for the Pro version hopefully they sort this **** out or I will get a refund.

The last 4 days I take short vacations surfing, and the first 2 days was very windy, as the mentioning the quality of the VID reduce a lot, but after the last 2 days no wind at all and the quality of the VID is look pretty nice.

so i was think in those polycarbonated domes, that's using in some security cameras only transparent vs the darks to avoid the air
Shake the camera, also need a better tripode to keep the camera without move.

So, all in all, I spent $150 on the Soloshot 1, use it maybe twice a year for SUP surfing. I'd like to use it for kiting too, but I'm not sure how well that would work, especially with waves.

Is it worth upgrading to the SS3? My main reason to upgrade would be:

-Ease of calibration (The SS1 can be a PITA to setup)
-Integrated camera/zoom
-Automatic Editing

How would the SS1 tripod work with the SS3?

I got my SoloShot3 Optic65 in late November.
Tag wouldn't recharge = 1 month to get it replaced

Windy all the time in New England winter, so videos had a lot of shake in them.

Went south for the winter, less wind = better results

Last time I updated my SS3 was mid December, because it seemed to follow pretty well, and I heard mixed reviews from later updates.

Pretty happy with the results now, but I am in weak, choppy surf all the time, so vids are boring.

My biggest issues seem to be with the tag.... it has shut off when both units were full power
and I can not read the tag in the water
I would like to see
ON or OFF
so I could tell if it was filming.... now I simply leave it on all the time.
Long lulls are a waste of power and storage.

Yes... that's my 9'4 "winter" size board.... very stable for me.
I am waiting on a smaller one in late Feb.

Let me ask you something i am working for taking the left waves as you i should to take in backside.... i ask you because you make look very easy...

I see people they normally change the paddle to the left hand and take support with the paddle on the wave.... That is my easy way but i still learning so i just follow the waves no turns.

But you only do the back step on rail also shift your body and the board respond intermediately... so what are the key point to make this backside turns....

Push hard on back-foot on the rail, the position of the body...also you turn your shoulders, is like sit a little bit put you weight down.. also turn your face there is a lot move over there... damn there is a lot to learn...

Sorry if i ask you this, i never surf before no short or long board i learning watching videos on YouTube.... I learn to surf on paddle boards...also i never used a skate board... so i miss a lot to feel but i progress for my level.

Great instructional work Creeky! You must spend your whole life Sup'ing and working on vids. Good luck to you. I'm retired but her-indoors requires me to actually hop off the Sup and do stuff around the house now and then. Wish I could get her interested in riding waves....[Loud sighs follow]

Can anyone shoot us an update on this please? From what I've seen on YouTube - It appears as though the software is getting better - can anyone confrim? Thinking about spending the coin, but its a fair bit for me...

I have continued to fail using my iPad to view and edit soloshot3 video after the last update. Previously it had been fine. I have found a possible solution from Soloshot. I have ordered the Kingston device and hopefully it will solve my dilemma. Will report back once I have tried it out.
