Well, actually this one was skin cancer specialist.
He said to do all of them and also moisturise a lot - what do you suggest instead (Dr Loto)

Stats around how many people who slip slop slap religiously, yet still go in the sun for few hrs a day, and if they get skin cancers...? Go for it.

crikey thought I was taking the p*ss in a serious topic. I don't think anyone plans to get cancer anymore than they plan to have an accident

So a doctor saying you will get cancer by virtue of doing watersports is like saying don't go outside your house at all. Stay out of the sun completely can be more harmful to your health and wellbeing. And we all know what a positive impact kitesurfing has on our mental and physical health.

We all know the risks and we take them. I mitigate them by staying out of midday sun, do watersports in mornings late afternoons, don't spend more than x hours in the sun, covering up with clothes/lycra/wettie/hats/sunnies works better than any sunscreen or glorified mud product. I even used moisturiser when I was a teen. But getting sunburnt regularly is just asking for skin cancer.

Had my yearly skin skin check just last week. Already have had a big chunk removed from my nose a few years back but my nose is so big there's plenty left to go ... "well he does have a big nose " life of Brian.

No one has the answer. Just cover up best you can and get checked regularly.

Aloe Gator Gel is by far the best stuff I've used, can't but it here any more but you can off EBay from the US.
Expensive at around $40 and the tube is small (2-3 will last you the summer)
Gotta make sure you get the GEL though, not the lotion.
Its clear and you don't need to reapply, will last all day long kiting, surfing, whatever.
It's all I'll use, awesome stuff!!
