I don't understand how anyone can be insulted by the term "euro" after all that just means that my granddad wasn't a deported criminal that concurred in the genocide on the Australian natives.


But it's kind of strange that the complaints are that loud this year, WA getting so expensive that most seasoners opted for SA this year instead, so I recon that it's fewer euros but that a limited number of them(us? I've lived here for over 2 years now) misbehave and cause the frustration. And I'm kind of surprised that it haven't resolved to violence yet. After all, someone living in a van is pretty vulnerable..

So by your definition, the fact that a newspaper may refer to a "male rapist" means they are inferring that all men are rapists?

I'd argue the exact opposite. The term euro wanker is inferring that a particular euro or group of euros are wankers rather than every euro, other's if we took away euro, the term wanker would be implying that everyone in the world is a wanker.

How so? If I say I don't like kitesurfing at St Kilda because of the St Kilda show ponies, does it mean I think everyone is a showpony? And it's plural. It means that there are a small group of people who show off. The fact is, the moment we add a nation in front of a word, everyone assumes its racism and yet I could add any other variable in there and it's okay? Collingwood Bogans doesn't mean everyone at Collingwood is a bogan and corrupt politicians doesn't mean every politician is corrupt although some would argue the last example is questionable. Ever heard the term male chauvinists? (Plural too)

Yep, I hate racist, xenophobic idiots.. especially ones from other countries!

Stevo makes good points, but it's probably better to assume that SB is 70% fkn idiots and you will only be 20-25% wrong.

Personally I gave up giving a sh!t and waiting for the repeat offenders to be removed (very few seem to have been) so I just don't bother stopping in to SB much anymore.
I sleep better these days.. it's just the foreign invasion that bothers me.

A shockingly large number of people here can't handle the complexity of life. To prevent their little brains from melting down they have to revert to black and white...tragic!

I think I found the problem. You should be useing the Oxford English Dictionary for the true meaning. Americans use words like tanner for being more suntanned and seem unable to spell correctly.
