i would be keen to downwind south straddie island in NE , get dropped off by boat at north end.
Baileys beach, 90 mile beach, muriwai beach, himitangi to paraparumu all awesome down winding beaches. Particularly if you want to rip at full pace and then boost off wave lips. O for awesome!.
But if you want quality waves you wave to leave the sandy beaches behind. They don't even come close to comparing to the naki point breaks down the coast. komene to Fitzroy down winder is absolutely insane.
