I was just reading through a reply at the end of the first page and its pretty pathetic that someone would be jumping up and down considering resale value on their kites, therefore they buy something they can sell for satisfiable amounts of money.

I don't recon we loose stuff all on our kites. (But I dont try and upgrade each year to keep up with the jones)
Honestly we waste heaps of money day to day. We loose big on Cars (depreciation fuel etc) and my shopping bill is usually $150/week and $90 for internet (to read this rubbish..) plus the expenses of the house.

I have saved a few bucks on my initial purchase of a new kite and Im laughing. I even go it cheaper than advertised! I mostly shop online on ebay and places alike, its too easy and Im able to stay well within my family budget. I would be crying if I paid big bucks then accidentally stuck my kite in a palm tree. No one pays the quoted resale value from carguides.com for a wreck.

I say support the Aussie brands nothing wrong with them.

At the end of the day it's all about the dollar in the pocket and the budget! A mate just bought OS over the internet - 2010 Cult, board and harness and cost him around AUS $2k delivered to the door in QLD. As highlighted above they are also offering, loading the market, with the 2 for one package of 09 Naish with one bar and lines! While the Ozzie Dollar is pulling 93c to US$ one would question why prices are so high here at the moment? and reality is it will drive some people OS.
Internet shopping, now there's the real culperate!

I belive its like every thing sometimes to make it big in OZ you must go some where else to
prove your product so why not go where the market is OS,not some small town .
On a personal note kites are like women some kite you like the look of others you dont its like Australian women and
European women ,some kite designers go for the european woman every time, is there something in that, maybee some things from OS are better than OZ made after all,the proof is in the imports and the sales figures
