She has a point.

If you work hard and live clean you too have every right to inherit millions of dollars.

You blokes can be really, really mean sometimes and I've had enough of the gen room. I think I'll hang in the Land Boarding room for a while. I'm sure they would be much nicer in there. Yes, there is a Landboarding room.

Her comments are an insight into her mind and way of thinking, depite the poor having next to nothing she is jealous of the little money they have and wants more money for herself. The more people living in poverty the better cos that means more money for her.

What is it that stops Gina from sending child slaves into the mines? It is it because she thinks it imoral? I don't think so, its because it has been outlawed. Business people of past generations have proved that. We don't need people like Gina, I find it offensive she thinks she is providing jobs, the money is not coming from her, it comig from consumer demand and she is exploiting that demand and the overseas workers to make money for herself. In other words she is not giving but TAKING.

If its ok for redneck radio hosts and pollies to inspire murder of the PM then don't winge about Doc's view.

For example her actual words :

“There is no monopoly on becoming a millionaire. If you're jealous of those with more money, don't just sit there and complain; do something to make money yourself"

Sounds more like good advice to me, than reason to sit there and complain. Of course any below par jurno can twist that statement into something else to inflame the sheeple and sell more smutty newspapers.

For my part I would say that making money isn't the aim of my life, but then I don't complain about other people who have that life goal.

I tried to make money once, but gave up because my printer ran out of ink, 20c coins don't copy too well anyway.

It's NOT ok !
In Australia it never was, and I hope it never will be.
That blustering idiot Jones should have been hauled before the court for saying what he said.

I would be quite happy to see the doctor dragged before a court for the same reason.

As to the rest of what you say, Gina could have simply retired on the royalty income from RIO and spent it all on shoes like someone else who was in that bag. It would have been far less work and less abuse from the public.
I'm sure all the money she needed would have been provided by that avenue so I would find it hard to imagine that the motivation for her present situation is more money for herself.

I think you and me are not going to win this Pweedas

A West Aussie attitude of not slouching about complaining about what others have, but getting off your arse to go get what you want (be that money, lifestyle, family or whatever) is in the minority

The Victorian and eastern staters attitude of wanting everything for nothing and believing they have a right for the government to give it to them is in the majority.

It seems easier to go with the flow so :

Launch the lynch mob to kill anyone who I perceive to have more than me

(unfortunately I won't be able to join the mob as today I am taking a sickie because I don't really feel like rampaging this morning and have $10k I just got for nothing to spend on ****, booze and chinese LCD TVs, and besides that are what sickies are for aren't they ? - now why aren't the rest of you marching with your pitchforks already ? )

I feel sad for her.

She places the importance of $$ above that of anything else believing everyone aspires to be a billionaire.

I wonder if she even knows what its like to feel free.

I feel sad for her too. There is no way she would be able to get upwind in anything less than 25knots

She is clearly not a person of good character.

Look at Branson the guy came from nothing built an empire has money coming out his arse yet still supports charity, enjoys life and is respected my many.
Gina takes, gives nothing back is a diabetic heart attack waiting to happen and pisses people off.

Now that's funny. I can't argue with that.
Probably the only fair and reasonable derogatory comment on this whole thread.

If that was the scope of all the criticism I would have no problem with it but it's mostly totally uninformed and defamatory commentary on matters they know very little about, against a real person in our local community who has done nothing more than carry on a business originally set up from nothing by her father.
It seems that half the wasters here believe that they should have inherited that.
What have they done to deserve it, apart from continually bitch about everything?
If you want more money for yourself, get off your lazy asses and get out there and do something to make both you and the country better off.
But that would be too much trouble wouldn't it.

And just for the record, I don't know Gina, Ive never met her and I've never done any business with either her or her company.
And doctor, as usual, I find your diagnostic abilities hugely in error.

Branson is a bad example, comes from a generational money family.
Parents and siblings all barristers, has always paid his minions less
than in similar employment, runs on hype and horse poo to inspire
his employees. I have first hand knowledge/experience

Starting with only 13 billion and the clothes on her back, she has managed to parley that into a vast empire worth only slightly less that she would have got had she simply allowed compound interest to operate on the initial amount, and, taking inflation into account, only slightly less that her original gift. This is quite an achievement for a trader in non-renewable resources, and is a testament to Ms Rinehart's entrepreneurial skills.

Speaking in her regular magazine article in the Australian Resources and Struggling Entrepreneur publication, she has quite rightly pointed out how Rich Australians do not need any help from socialist policies from the Government to squander Austrailia's natural resources, they were quite able to do that entirely on their own, and that she was worried that not everyone appreciated the massive intellectual effort it takes to dig stuff out of the ground and sell it.

Ms Rinehart said that she hopes that her article clearly demonstrates how inherited wealth can transform even the stupidest of people into someone who feels confident that the self-indulgent castigation of those less fortunate than themselves is somehow helpful, and inspirational to young Australians to encourage their parents to work real hard so that they too can inherit enough money to become unjustifiably smug self-congratulatory assholes, which is the only real career choice for any self-respecting Australian

If she looked like Bree Maddox, would that make any difference? Who gives a shizzle what she looks like. Really, does her physical appearance have any bearing whatsoever upon what she says? The reason I ask is because it seems all to easy to criticise her looks.

I'd be more critical of those kuunts that were on The Shire. That was ugly.

Unfortunatley it does matter. In an ideal world it wouldn't. She's a shocker who takes no pride in her appearance. Not sure she has a PR advisor but she should get one. Its a real world out there full of shallow people like me.
