Here in the U.S. there is no such thing as humor, whether it's sarcastic or not, that involves race relations. That was in 1997, it's even a more touchy issue now days. It got worse under the Obama administration, most people thought that having a black as president would improve race relations, but it ended up having the opposite effect. Any criticism of his administration,
involving any subject, was met with being called a racist,,,,,,,, unfair? Absolutely, which just made things worse, nobody likes being called a racist, the Obama supporters
way overplayed their racist card.
So, when travelling thru the U.S., it's best to stay away from any racist humor.

The previous administration had 8 years to get things done and I went to an area in New York that once was thriving before 2008 and went in 2016 and it was a ghost town. Here it's turning around again.
