although I'm not planning to pour concrete any time soon - I appreciate the time you have taken to outline the method/approach... once again I have learnt something new cruising through Seabreeze...

It's a pleasure to share knowledge. Generally I know a little about a lot, but concrete is one area I have amassed a reasonable bank of knowledge over the years - mainly through university and work. There are plenty who know a lot more than me though, and most people would be very surprised at how complex and technical plain old concrete can get.

Happy to try and answer any questions people want to throw at me on the subject .

15amp throughout, was going for 3 phase for my backyard engineering ambitions but was going to be too much of an expensive headache.

like I said its near on bigger than my house, but thanks to landscaping and my god given approach to genius...

you can barely see it from the street.

my many unenlightened friends often ask me why I don't put my car in the shed.

but they just don't understand that you don't put a car in a shed,

Which way are ya going to go;- flat out using cement mixer?(I have one +barrow) ,
or the simple call and pre-order , If it's 3mtr by 3mtr by 85mm= .765 add .2 for justin total 1 cubic mtrs. I guess about $260- $300.

Ordering and being delivered is the way to go , definite CONSISTENCY, in the mix, and much quicker and easier on the old bods

when anybody offers to give you a hand in the yard for a few quite ales you are obliged to minimise the working time and maximise the beer drinking time...and a couple of snags/streaks/ banana dacquiri/hula girls etc
get the truck
...work that at your own hourly rate mixing and it generally is a no brainer
i did a driveway a few years back(asphalt with concrete edges) and was dicking around like an idiot, end up wasting 2 weekends,trying to level the surface when a mate who owns a bobcat drove past ,pulled up,was there no longer than 15 minutes and that included unloading loading the bobcat ..job done ready for asphalt carton of beer $35 bucks against 20 odd hours of working or precious surfing kiting time
actually make that 8 cartons finished but thats another story
