Jumping on a dead whale
Hi guys. Now i don't really want to get flamed for this, but I'll be honest. On the news here in the west, some guys saw a dead whale on the beach and jumped on it for a photo. Now while it's probably not what I'd immediately think of doing,
I honestly couldn't see the harm in doing it. That's not an opinion, I mean it literally. The news said 'authorities were hunting for the people involved and they could face jail time or $30,000 fine.' I literally couldn't work out why there was this manhunt or penalty, so the news sucked me in and I had to watch to find out.
It turns out the whale can be used for scientific purposes and they needed to take tests. I mean, I would NEVER have thought of that if I saw a whale on the beach.
Don't get me wrong, I don't believe very much of what commercial news say about events nor do I take their facts seriously, but if the stated fines / jail were true, I reckon that's pretty harsh.
