Hi,

This is my first post here (and not a happy one). I damaged my board nose with the boom this Saturday (at least it was in the end of the session - great sailing day BTW).

Where's a good shop in Perth to have it repaired?
It's not a big demage (the board is a 2004 JP FSW 84).

Cheers.

Thanks for the quick reply.
I was unsure where to go (as I'm also new to the city).
I'll ask James for a quotation.

I got home from work now....here's a pic I've just taken...

glb,

that is a good starting one for your first effort at a repair done at home.
low stress area so if you stuff it up it won't hurt

and it is not hard at all

maybe $60 materials

here we go again Mr Redthumbs (but can't be fkd posting) is back
must be a board repair legend

That repair is ideal for a first time effort as it requires:
about 250mm x 100mm d'cell removal, some fill in the crack in the styro, and d'cell on top, no need to vac bag it up near the nose just tape down f'n hard and then glass over later.

James or Steve, for a great job however Marks suggestion has considerable merits if you are hands on.

Thank you for the suggestion, Mark.

It's not really that bad, and it's a small damage.
Initially I've thought about repairing it myself, but I'm afraid I'd make a bigger mess.

I've searched other threads here in the forum and you seem indeed to know what you're talking regarding board repair.
The only repair I've done was a tiny crack in the painting (just went to Bunnings and bought some epoxy heheh…I know it's ugly and unprofessional, but it did the job).

cheers
