Saturday has the meteorological forecast equivalent of "Gone fishing" ie "South to southwesterly 15 to 20 knots."

I will be buying a lawn mower and getting some sleep.

Sunday might be better though. Anyone going to Sandy?

Still no forecast for Sun or Mon from BOM yet.
For me I will be sailing from my new backyard as of Fri, if there is enough wind. With Fri and Sat forecast I might have a chance. Can't wait.

What's the surf typically like down Warratah(sic) Bay in a SW wind? Alright for learners?

Punta Rickitos is good in an Easterly.

Forecast is whoafull....... hopefully we get some of those hot easterly winds over WA next weekend.... but my guess is it will be during the weekdays..............

Might see if I can steal a turfdog......

It's now 21 knots in the south channel (and 8:40 pm). Has anyone tried using mountain bike lights sailboarding? My ayups are supposed to be all weather units...

It probably got to around 15kts this morning. Got planing a few times in the gusts, but other than that it was pretty poor. Rigged a 7.5

just got 1 hour slogging & 3 planing but it took big kit

Spent yesterday unpacking but today I'm hoping for a sail at my backyard later this afternoon

I had my first sail from home with my 7m and 111l kit. It was a good but short slalom blast.

Its called a "seabreeze"... have you heard of this phenomenon?

Seriously though... the reason it is easterly (instead of southerly) is because there is high-pressure over the east of Vic which create strong seabreezes from Wilsons Prom, through to Philip Island, and so on into the Bay.
