Where is every one windsurfing this weekend?

Myself:
Friday (night): - I will be at the RPS Season Opener at The Beach Hotel, Albert Park Beach, 97 Beaconsfield Pde from 5pm.
Saturday – I will be looking in at dropping in to the RPS/North/Fanatic demo day at Brighton Beach.
Sunday – WV &MSC course racing clinis and socail racing at Mordi Sailing Club.

Refer to the extract from BOM forecast below for Port Philip Bay.
Local Waters Forecast for Port Phillip
Forecast issued at 5:10 am EST on Friday 16 September 2011.

Saturday 17 September
Winds Light winds tending north to northwesterly 10 to 15 knots during the morning. Winds tending west to southwesterly 15 to 20 knots by early evening. Seas Below 0.5 metres increasing to 1 to 1.5 metres by early evening. Weather The chance of thunderstorms in the late afternoon.

Sunday 18 September
Winds West to southwesterly 10 to 20 knots becoming westerly up to 10 knots during the morning then tending southeast to southwesterly up to 15 knots with seabreezes during the afternoon. Winds tending northeast to easterly about 10 knots during the evening. Seas Up to 1 metre.

Please note; these are not Windsurfing Victoria Inc organised events (expect for the WV & MSC course racing event), and this post is to be used as information only. The intent of this post is for windsurfers to post where they could be going to windsurf this weekend and for other windsurfers to possible come and join them.

Guessing you guys got a decent sail up cityway. I went out off Mornington at 1:30pm only to swim back in, then sat in the car in my wet wettie looking at the 25+knots at Fawkner, thinking surely it will hit this way soon. 3 hours later finally packed up.

Good sail at Green Point today. Wife captured some of the windsurfing on camera.

A few sailors at Rye yesterday - looked like it wasn't going to happen, then the wind kicked in bang on forecast! Fun session :) Excellent pics from the green pointers - looks like you boys had fun too!

Packed the gear in the car. It's going to be another, shoo the students out right on the bell, throw on the wettie in the classroom and head straight out after work. Can't wait!

Shelly Beach, is just next to Cat Bay (Right Pt) at Phillip Is.

It's the ultimate surfers learner reef break.
Gets super crowded, with lots of beginners and mal riders.

But the waves also break further out as they come around the corner and into the bay, so it's possible to get away from the surfers if you're on a sup or windsurfer.

Pete is right, there are many breaks out from Shellys......that lots of surfers go for but they hate a North East and vacate quickly to find off shore conditions not far away. There is another great break for wavesailors.....Cowrie beach.....lots of really big waves but the wind has to be NE thereabouts for an epic day. Yes it was.
