Hey, all Vicco sailors!

The ESC windsurfing committee has been hard at work during winter and spring to plan a fantastic events and social calender.

The races [ fun races] will be designed to appeal to novices and experienced sailors alike. Different formats across the series will ensure that everyone who participates will experience various courses to challenge them. [fun races].

Classes will include open/slalom, freeride, novice and wave. [many of the ESC members only sail wave gear, but they can still go around a race course.]

Using a unique handicap system, it's not always the fastest sailor who wins, so it keeps it fun and interesting.

The social/midweek Thursday events are open to all with the emphasis being on sailing, socialising, bbq upstairs and a couple of beers. There will be clinics arranged for people who wish to improve and take their bay sailing skills to the next level.

And then there's the parties!! A season opener and end of season bash.

Put these dates in your diary and we hope to see you at as many events as you can manage

the cool thing with the ESC/RPS series is it's open to anyone.

For the races, it would pay to join WV, as you will require the necessary insurance to enter.

For the Thursday evening socials, just rock up, sail, socialise, crack a beer [the ESC bar opens at 6.30pm Sharp!] Also, crew are welcome to bring their families, friends and partners. The main emphasis here is social! The bbq balcony at ESC is a fantastic place to be post-sail and watch the sunset behind the bay and You Yangs.

For the Season kick-off and End-of-Season bash.........well, they're just functions that any Vicco sailor should treat as mandatory. Attendance will be commended and absence will be duly noted.[}:)]

Hopefully it will serve as a way to help unite more sailors and support WV and ESC who recognise the windsurfing movement.
