Balnarring rocks. So fortunate to have this as my home spot. Huge easterlies! Awesome south westerlies!

33rupus - 3 main choices.

Turn left at the Balnarring Beach Store and park in the sailing club parking, lug your gear round the snake-infested path round the club or go through the club if it's open (not sure how cool this is). Rig on the beach.

Just after the right-hand bend at the store turn left into the beach carpark. There's a bit of grass you can rig on by the picnic tables. Try and remember that the beach at this end is where people take their kids so good to launch a bit further down.

option 3 is a well kept secret but if you can figure it out from Jeff's video enjoy - and remember it's shallow to the right and to the left :)

Thanks jonE

As I've previously used up my luck when it comes to snakes, I'll go for option 3

I just have to follow the yellow brick hobie cat to find the g spot

End of Masonsmith Road.
Watch rocks left and right on mid tide. Low tide they'll be sticking out. High tide they're under.

Sailing across to Philip island
yes many times on the right day. It must be quite shallow out there as it's like a washing machine. I try not to jump the waves in the middle. often when you turn around heading for home you end up heading to point Leo it's hard to tell which beach to head for.

i do remember years back my brother had to drive around to Phillip Island to pick a fellow balnarring sailer up. Now that is a big rescue.

If you are out and something brakes just dump you rig and keep the board it's easy to get a new rig from your local shop
