Driving to all these places is easy, dual lane most of the way, car ferries and plenty of coffee stops on the way.
Soldiers Rd, Bass. Interesting place. I've sailed here on northearly, thru west to southerlies. Isolated, but macca's at the other end of the road. Limited rigging area, but when northerly winds blow it works a treat. No kites, but ya have to sometimes share the water with the local horses.
Inverloch, Andersons Inlet. Everywhere you can see is sailable, depending of wind direction and tides. Northerlies are gusty and challenging, but good surf can be had. Very popular and can get quite busy on the water when conditions are good, especially at low tide: boats, jet skis, kites, swimmers and the odd tractor tire full of kids. Heaps accomodation and good food to be had. That Kato fella broke 40knots here.
Swan Bay, Queenscliff. This place is awesome. Works on any direction, but most fun when west thru to northerly. I've seen this place with 50knot winds and water spouts and only half foot of chop, next to mud bars flat as. Miles in every direction at high tide. The yellow square is the launch spot, QLYC; they grew the grass for us to rig on. Need weed fins and booties. The Connewarre Cremasters often sail here, awesome chaps.
Sandy Point. Super sonic speeds have been done here. Park on the beach at low tide. Get out as the tide fills. The Pit Crew can fill you in on winds and tides.
