Just got back from a east coast Sunday drive 21c and sunny all the way from Orford to Swansea . Wind at Swansea was a very steady 20 + knots NW,ideal flat water for blasting or kiting . Sometimes an 1 1/2 hours drive in Tassie to sail is worth it . Hobart was drizzle and 14c and no wind all day from what I can tell.

WHAT? There is another generation to come?

I thought that our breed was facing extinction...imminent extinction judging by most on the water.

That has turned my world upside down - YEAH!

It must be that the windsurfers down south look way cooler than us northerners, when they are able to attract the newcomers to the sport.
I'll blame our failure on Greenie

Yeah it seems the sport is still growing slowly but steadily in the south there were 14 on the water at Carlton yesterday which is becoming the norm lately passed 2 at Pittwater and I'm sure there were plenty out at reliable Dorans.
It's probably down to the many different avenues of social media with Seabreeze, Facebook and WhatsApp all becoming more active but all this modern technology can only work with interesting content and what could be more interesting than the constant banter against our little mate Greenie who according to Clarky still can't loop.

Don't worry little chook chook farmer. I'm always reading your so called interesting content.
I'm with Relic. Rocket mans, duck jybes, jump jybes, barrol rolls.
Forwards, sooo boring, easier than water starting.
Except the one Clarky saw me eject from where I water started away from 5 minutes after......in pain.
Ouch
I need a new coach

Ps. Luka. i think you scared off all the potential new comers to the sport up north particularly at bell buoy with that one legged ripped wet suit your wore last summer!!
We were always letting people know that there are no SHARKS at bell buoy.....until you walked up into the car park
