The current forecast might suggest a downwinder to be on the cards. I'm dreaming of never ending foil run towards Port Sorell, or ripping out a 20km run on the slapper. Yeehah!
Takers?

Hi Adam

I texted you about this.

We'll make a plan.

For once the forecast actually held, but alas my dream was not to be.

Got out on the foil and found a 2m rolling and breaking swell more reminiscent of being out the back of Bell Buoy, which was somewhat hairy on a 130L foilboard. It was quite surreal floating around on the large foil at 10-12knots in 20-25 knot winds (4.2m Blade), avoiding breaking swell that would have been more suited to a 90L wave board. It was a great chance to get some foiling rides on the swell and added a whole new aspect that could be addictive. May have to look at one of them newfangled freestyle/freeride specific foil boards that are coming on the market this year.
Cheers,
Mort
