Anyone planning on a sail Wednesday? Looks like there might be a bit of westerly at the Goon. Not a lot, but hopefully enough

I am thinking about coming up not much down here tomorrow but thought Bakers might be less chop and more controllable small swell lines than Bell buoy........................any advice from you northern tossers........nice people

MY guess is no rideable waves but plenty of little peaks for the rotating and non rotating punters (some call this chop but I figure that if its the ocean then it's a wave) more of these lumps at Bell Buoy and less at Bakers though Greens might be OK too if you don't mind dodging the "odd" knitter.

Looking forward to using a sensible size sail again. Don't mind where, but Bell Bouy sounds good.
Had a fabulous sail at East with the Flood's on Saturday. So this may be another option.

Greens in W is crud. Too gusty. Needs to be at least WNW or even more northerly in it.

Bellbuoy is the safe bet on all fronts for the forecast wind. Be there or be a fourth dimension cube!

As for getting some air-time, rotational or otherwise - if the forecast is correct, these are fabulous Jem Hall days at BB.

It has just gone around to the WSW - low tide is mid afternoon and so BB is the go!

A mid week public holiday and 20+ knots of wind, looks like there is a supreme deity that lives in northern Tas and windsurfs.

Gil,

I suggest that you post some BAD shots at some point, or you will be banned from sailing and glued to a camera instead.

Thanks for helping us all look like we had some idea what we were doing. That first shot even shows that mysterious stranger - Chuck - with both hands on the boom...and I didn't see that all day! Just a minute...his feet aren't on the board...

That shot of Houston must be the Back Loop he landed, and I think that last one was just before he spun a Forward - man that guy can sail!

What a day - LOADS of crazy stuff going on.

You guys did my head in so many loops between Clarky, Greenie and Jason gawd I couldn't tell who or what was upside down.
Thanks Gill for getting the only decent jump I did all day...........attempted crash backie

I'm off to the shrink maybe he can help..................... how the f$#$@ do I pull that trigger

Just a few more amusing air shots from today.
One of my favourites from the last set is Jason walking on water to avoid a crash.

Great shots Gill, and what a great day. When I left the water I was aching. Hands, arms what an awesome feeling. One of the better bell buoy sessions I've had. Still bummed that I have the same problem as Houston. Pull the Damn trigger! !

Grevil11, 'Chucka', Houston

That last shot of Smithy says it all - that's all there is to it - "Go over the handle bars, at speed and with height.................." Easy...

Apparently you can cut a deal with the Devil for anything you like, all you need to give him (or her...) is your soul, and only for eternity! Do it - cut a deal!

Houston - has the psychologist helped?

I am thinking hypno-therapy...

Or maybe the Jedi mind trick... 'You don't need to worry about busting your arse...'

Perhaps the Matrix - 'There is no spoon'

Nike - 'Just do it!'
