Great the event is being held once more. Thanks in advance to Jo for your efforts.
Following the course racing at the previous event
there was some discussion amongst participants about the absence of a reaching leg on the course. I'm confident we all agree it would be a great addition this time round

Disappointing there was no response to the question posed.
The assumption is the same poorly suited course is being used. Windsurfers as we all know are most exciting on a reach. The exclusion of a reaching leg makes racing dreary and favours lighter competitors.
The question was intended as a constructive contribution and no personal criticism was made or implied.

Hi Relic

I only just saw your question as I am not a Seabreeze participant or follower. Apologies if I am in the wrong social media camp as I have posted on Facebook on both the Southern Windsurfer page and Windsurfing Tas page. Maybe you would like to put up your hand and organise & run the State Titles?

Sorry you've taken offence, It was never my intention. You have missed the point. By letting your ego get dented.
I'll use plain english; "Bravo" course is a dud for windsurfers. Not worth going to the trouble of rigging up.

Cmon relic. That's a bit harsh. My dealings with Jo suggest she doesn't have an ego. I suspect if it was easy to do, a change of course would have been considered. Ever wondered why we struggle to have volunteers put their hands up and have a go at this sort of stuff?

I'm not getting into a slanging match Marty., what was your sail number during the comp last season? You must have enjoyed the course so much you felt the need to comment.
The fact is; The organiser was shown respect and gratitude, a reasonable question was posed and ignored.
Bizarrely the author made a passive aggressive response the day before the event on this platform she doesn't use! Pointless agitation.
I called her out on it.
An honest account of the exchange. End of story.

Your not getting into a slanging match.... then you slang me?
Yeah, you're right. I haven't sailed competitively for ages. My comment is not about the course. It is around your treatment of a volunteer - which is what the windsurfing community seems to lack a lot of these days. There are very few volunteers who organise events for their ego. I suspect the reason the course hasn't been changed as you've suggested may be because of a lack of time/resources/volunteers? I doubt it's because of ego.
