According to TV ratings, some people think The Big Bang Theory is a good TV show.

The North Gold series are a couple of hundred grammes heavier.

On my 6.3m the 430cm worked better for rotation and topspeed than my old powerex 430cm but i felt i lost some bottomend.

Not sure about that shinny coating,my boom keeps dropping earlier than before.

Strange,

At a NS dealer meeting 2 years ago in Holland, Raoul from NS told us that the brand with the mast curve that was closest to that of NS was actually Gun! Maybe that has changed but is it a coincidence that both P7 and Gun are the cheapest mentioned brands, so more competition price-wise? Of course they also have a list with incompatible brands, but they also know that us surfers are more aware of what is what these days so they have to. My 2 cents.

If you have just broken a North mast & it's not under warranty you may not want to go back for more of the same.

I believe he may be looking for an alternative for some reason.
Something about "once bitten" maybe

Occasionally people do lose faith in a product but it's amazing how many don't

Agreed.
What I am saying is the guy is looking for an alternative to North, simple as that

All gear has the POTENTIAL to break. Not all gear breaks.

Agree Paul I thought it was evident oldskool was looking for an alternative with out bluntly saying i do not want another north mast, nothing wrong with looking at options for your sails.

Of course going and buying a nice brand new north would be ideal!

I wish I could tell you chris but we are missing the vital test ingredient....wind.

Np mast in hot sails are meant work well and the way I am on gear it does not hurt to have a spare.
