Hi,

I am new to windsurfing and to the forum. i have had a few lessons and have picked up windsurfing quite quickly. i have been offered to buy a starboard cave 99L and was wondering if it would be a good board to practice on and be able to uphaul. i weigh about 60 kg. i am definately not up to waterstarts and more advanced stuff so i would need to be able to uphaul on a suitable board.
is this board suitable for me?

thanks.

Hi Hazza, the rule of thumb is: your weight in kg + 20 = uphaulable
So at 60 kg, you should be able to uphaul anything over 80 litres.

For me it's my weight plus 30kg.
The board weight anf gear weight, plus whatever you are wearing.
My 130L board is a sinker when I'm 104kg and is a floater when I'm 98.
