Severne Convert vs Ezzy Legacy

Be really interested to hear reviews of these 2 budget freeride sails if anyone has experience with either/both?

Also, do any other brands have budget freeride sails worth considering?

Is the reduction in price enough for consideration?

Loft maybe sails maybe? Had them for some time now in the Oxygen2's, cant complain about performance nor durability.
Did hear we are behind in receiving the latest for a full season, but cant verify as haven't purchased for a while. 2011/12 sails still all good.

I've sailed a Legacy 6.5 and a Gator 6.5 a fair few times. The Legacy was definitely better built and nicer to sail in my opinion, it got going quicker and felt like it had a more even pull.

I purchased a 6.7 Severne Convert 4 years ago. The sail was ok, very basic performance sail. After about 20 sessions, the batton pocket toward the mast started separating. Sent it back for a free repair, then it held pretty well. The sail is just cheaply made, from thread, stitching and quality. I wouldn't recommend it.

I just bought a 2016 Ezzy Legacy and took it out of the bag and what a difference in quality. Night and day compared to the Convert. I haven't used the Legacy yet, but I can just tell it will perform and hold up better than the Convert.

Thanks all. Interesting that the Ezzy Legacy gets such good reviews even though it is a cheaper sail...
