Wondering peoples opinions on running the M3 7.0m on RDM compared to SDM.
What's better, advantages disadvantages.
I currently run my Mach 3 6.2m on a gorilla 430 RDM and it seems to sit perform quite well. I use the 430 Apex Sdm on the 7.0m.
Should I chase up some more RDM cams and run the Mach 3 7.0m on the
430 Gorilla RDM mast.
People's opinions thanks in advance.

I run my 6.2 m5 on a 400 gorilla and find it works quite well. I've used bigger (than 6.2) on rdms and find there's a point where you can really feel that detrimental extra flex. not sure how the 7m would be.

I do Dale, I tried it a couple of times to see how it went after liking how the 5.5 and 6.2 felt on rdms. I now rig both the 7 and 7.8 (Mach 5s) on rdm blue masts, haven't changed the cams but you need to adjust outhaul settings. I know they're designed to rig on sdm, but the rdm makes the bigger sizes much easier to handle for me, early planning still good and I can hold them in stronger winds than I might've done with the sdms. It's not for everyone but worth a try on the rdm mast you've got to see how it looks

Not a M3 but I went from SDM-RDM in the Overdrive M4 7m , I don't have a Severne mast so just played around with what I've got, initially rigged on NP SDM 430 and the sail rigged and worked quite well, the RDM is 430 P7 the sail set nicely and felt great on the water very stable and had just as much low end power and top end speed as the SDM mast.

I've always run my OD 6.2 and 7.0 on RDM. The both feel nice and rotate well. (I think the bottom cam or two are SDM). I used SDM for a Mach 3 5.5 but never felt comfortable, so I just purchased an RDM 400. I'll report back when it warms up.
