I sailed on our OES Australia 135 Blaster Freeride, 38cm OES Australia Freeride Fin and a Severne 5.3m Blade wave sail , at Longbeach Coffins Bay South Australia in a NW 20 to 30 knots wind. I haven't sailed just on flat water for quite a few years, but it was fun to get back blasting around at top speed again with what the wind and chop conditions would allow for this day . I have no idea how fast i sailed , I dont really care, I just pushed as hard as condition allow, on this 135 freeride board and 5.3m wave sail, for great fun. All wave sailors could double their time on the water when there are no waves but plenty of wind with just their wave sail rigs.

Great to see. this is pretty much windsurfing for me. bigger user friendly boards, small fins and wave sails. blasting, bump and jump or small surf. Too much fun to be had.

everyone else switched to winging and bypassed this option. The penny dropped for me being frustrated with having to use heavy slalom gear in lighter winds and noticing the freestyle guys planning in same wind. I set myself a 2 season goal to drop from an 8.5m to a 5.6m

never looked back.

Totally Agree Gestalt. Small wave sail/big freeride board combo is a hoot in the sea. Nice videos Pete. Board looks great
