Hey guys has anyone used one of these North Power XT Shox extensions and do they work. They are meant to act as a shock absorber between the board and the rig. Similar to how shockies work on bikes.

I've been using them for about 3 years, I has breaking a lot of board jumping and where I sail is very choppy and v onshore. Have to say I love them and I haven't broken a board since. Ref the feel it softens the chop but not as much as you would think. I don't notice it when I'm sailing I only notice it when I try other kit without it.

Also worth mentioning on the other side I've never seen a north rider competing with the shox so there must be some drop in balls to wall performance and kit reaction

Everything is softer. The power delivery is softer as well. On big heavy sails it bottoms out quickly in chop. Nice to use though.
