G'day Guys, Just looking for feedback from anyone who has used V6's, 2011/2012 H2's or the latest Hornet sails.

For 12 to 17 knots over the last few years I have used a NP 7.5m V6 (2 cam) sail which has been perfect for what I have wanted to do. When the V6 finally wore out due to excessive use I bought a second hand 7.7 2011 H2 (in very good nic)which I found was very similiar to the V6, except planed earlier. The only problem was the H2 felt a lot heavier in the hands, so much so that I decided to trade it on a 2013 7.7 Hornet on the basis that the sales pitch for the Hornet was that it was more similar to the old 2 cam V6 sails than the Evos. I have used the Hornet twice and have found myself continually giving it more outhaul due to the reefing on my back hand. I have found the Hornet loves to be powered up and a lot more sensitive overall than the V6 or the H2.

I am curious as to what others have observed!

I haven't tried a Hornet but have had a lot of V8's and H2's. These days I use all Hellcats 7.7, 7.2, 6.7 and 5.7. They don't go upwind as well as a H2 can however they reach and go off as fast. The big difference is they feel a lot lighter than H2's.
I do the same speed I used to do on H2's with a lot less effort.
I always downhaul to max no matter what with NP sails. Just adjust outhaul for different conditions.
Boards used are Futura's 93 and 111. 89kg rider.
