I have been using the Pryde Expression (6.1) as a light wind wave sail for the last couple of years but have just received the 2006 Pryde Search in 6.2m

It rigs on a 430 mast with around 28cm of extension and has to be the most powerful wave sail I have EVER used.
For a large chap like yourself I would definately suggest trying to get hold of a demo and taking it for a blast. If you are considering a light wind wave sail that can handle any punishment you and the elements dish out this sail needs to be considered.

The transision from stop to flat out is instantaneous with a very raw feel (super grunty) It's been designed for bigger sailors (80kg +)and is super responsive (both in powering up and twisting off in the gusts)
Lighter sailors may find it a little too powerful for their frame (that's not meant as an insult) but for the bigger/heavier sailor (and there's a few of us out there) it's a sail that gets you out their catching waves with the 70 kilo club !

It is a fairly deep sail which helps produce the massive pulling power but it's still a wave sail which can be thrown around in the surf with ease.

Super light, super strong with more pulling power than a suped up tow truck

you've only got about 8 kg's on me... give me a few more years and I reckon I'll match you weight for weight.

In regards to the 2006 Search range, you could speak to Reg at WSP and see if he has one in demo.
He will probably have to lend you one from his private quiver as it is the chosen sail for him as well.
He's about our weight... and probably worth asking why he uses it over every other sail type he carries and sells through the store.

How soon are you looking to upgrade and are you looking for brand new or 2nd hand ?

just out of interest what size/weight are you ?
I only suggested the SEARCH to Hardie as it has been built as a big guys wave sail.
It was originally eveloped many years ago as the NX which was Bjorn Dunnderbecks signature wave sail.
He is a mountain of a man, hence the poerfull lift and drive created by the sail.

As mentioned earlier this is not a sale for everyone... just like boards you need to take into consideration size & ability when it comes to sails
