ANybody who has bought one of these have an opinion that they might share. I'm looking to upgrade a current boom. Any size, especially the head and how it attaches to the mast.

cheers

i've only tried a short one once(it was around 160 or something) and it seemed nice and stiff and it has the new pride heads on it not the snap on plastic bit. and price wise it still seems good. it all comes down to what length your after i guess.
anything for an 8.5 up i'd still go a full carbon

nah, carbon not strong enough, hence the inquiry about the x6. Looking to cater for that 7 through to 9m range (220 - 275)

a pure carbon will be stiffer then any hybrid boom, hence there use in formula racing and so on. but the cost is there as well. if it is for free ride it is probably fine but if you wanna race it you'll probably need to cough up

The new front end is nice I have to admit. very stiff and firm

The carbon backends are the same as used in the X9s so will be of the best quality around.

Goto the shop and he should be able to send you to clients who have bought them..
