Some of you will have seen my website, we have started the review process on this kit now. I will post probably 5 or 6 different reviews as our opinions develop. I want to offer something different in terms of reviewing. Ordinary frequent riders with a mix of ability testing the kit, on its own and against their own that they are used to.....
Hopefully it will give a different perspective on the review process, one that I think is missing.

So here goes with the first part - rigging the kit and first 'out of the box' impressions.

If you have any advice on what I can do better please tell me, cheers, good speeds and winds

First test, marginal winds, just an introduction really. It was in the sort of wind where you wouldnt usually bother, but if you get given some new kit to play on you would bother!

Hope you enjoy it

"The Black Project fin was a revelation, having tried two of them, the 37.5cm and the 45cm without a spinout in such low wind I was quite amazed and am looking forward to trying these out in more testing conditions. I also noticed that the board would stay planing at around 10-12knots which I felt to be very low. This is perhaps the slowest I have stayed on the plane, "

They are bloody good fins.

Cheers Legless, I am starting to realise they are.....wish I had a few pennies spare to get a quiver.

New part of the series done here

Over the next week if there are a few windless days that I can use to rig the sails on different masts I will do so and do a report on that. I think that is one of the most useful bits of information that can go in a sail review......
