Hi,I ride a Blast 100 with my NCX 6.5 and when in 13-15 knots I can't plan easily. When the wind goes up,I am happy with my Blast.Would a Severne fox 105 or a Starboard futura 107 be a choice in same conditions with same sail size?
Iam 84 kg.
Thanks in advance.

The Fox 105 is just a couple of cm wider than your Blast 100, so no real big improvement in early planing. The Futura 107 is roughly 9cm wider than your Blast, so it will plane earlier. If you are keeping the Blast, the F107 and Blast 100 could work for you.

If you like to keep it simple with just one board, get a 7.5m sail for those light days.

The Blast is easier to sail in chop than the Futura or Isonic. Have you considered getting the Blast 115

I think the bigger board will make minimal difference - go for a bigger sail

What is the smallest sail size you use on the Blast? Whats the strongest wind you sail it in? Where do you sail, open sea/sheltered bay/lake?
If you go too wide and use it in stronger winds it will bounce all over the place if the water is choppy.

The Blast 100 is 62cm wide, and the tail isn't overly wide, so I doubt it would be much fun with a 7.5m in light winds. Sounds more like a 5.5m - 7.0m board to me although it depends on water start as well as wind strength.
On very flat water its easier to manage wider boards.

For 13-15 knots I'd buy an 8m & 120l/70cm wide board, it would complement your existing kit.

If you buy a bigger sail for your Blast 100 it wont perform to it's best on that smallish board and if you buy a larger board it wont be fast with a 6.5m in 13-15 knots.

I have both a 100l and a130l blast. I can sail the 100l with everything from a 4.5 to a 7.5 but to be honest it really comes into its own using anything below a 6. The 130l is top fun on a 6.5 and above. They both need a range of fins to get them to work at peek but are never quite as fast as 'true' slalom, having said that they are a million times more easy to uphaul sail gybe and tack. I find they both pop onto the plain and get flying incredibly easy but only if you have the correct fin. Wrong fin = a no fun afternoon sailing. Ive never ridden a board more forgiving absolutely flat out in chop bump n jump etc etc. You can stomp all over it like you're a baby elephant and it keeps tracking. So I guess if I had to have only one board Id have a 115L! In 13knots at 84kg I'd suggest you're under powered and need a 7.5 at least or even an 8.2

I have used a 5.3 smallest sail in 5 bft.I surf in open sea.I am usually OK when I use it in 5 bft with 5.8 or 5.3
My issue is in light wind and maybe I should have bought the 115 from the beginning.
