i think you get that tradeoff with all of the super light 4-batten sails, e.g. my swats definately don't have the top end of an s-1 for example, thou oart of that may be due to cheaper materials.

hopefully these goya's are light, have always wanted goya sails.. they look awesome!

I think top end control wouldn't be too bad becaue Levi Siver has been using an all white 4 version and he usually uses the eclipse, a powerful sail that also has top-end control. Anyway, you can always put on more downhall or maybe even let off the outhall a bit so the sail absorbs the force of the wind and isn't so twitchy.

But if you really want a goya that offers a really loose 4 battern like feeling that control even in the top end, you've got to go for the guru.

The Goya's have always had their focus on wave riding not fully powered up sailing. That's also the sailing preference of a lot of their team riders. Many of them just dog out in near none planing conditions but then rip once they get on a wave... it's more like surfing rather than windsurfing the wave.

That said, it would be interesting to try out one of their sails and see how they compare.

Of course given they make gear for the average sized guy it probably won't work for me anyway ;-)
