Finally made it to LG, no wild days yet but check out some vids of the first few days.
Nice to be back in wetsuit!

Does it shatter like glass when you crash?

Would love to feel n hear that Super Glass water underfoot.
Q. On the Super Glass sections does the board feel 'stickier' than on the tiny chop?

Good question,
When I used to wakeboard , I would prefer a slight ripple apposed to super glassy . I wasn't that good and I don't know why , but it felt different. I would unexpectedly crash more often . Mostly when landing a massive one foot high jump,( told you I wasn't that good ) . Maybe I was pushing harder on the glass ?

I would think a windsurfer would feel more sticky especially on a bigger board ???

Seaplanes take longer to get in the air from a glassy surface..."The smoothness of the surface has the effect of increasing drag, making acceleration and lift-off more difficult. This can feel as if there is suction between the water and the floats. A little surface roughness actually helps break the contact between the floats and the water by introducing turbulence and air bubbles between water and the float bottoms. The intermittent contact between floats and water at the moment of lift-off cuts drag and allows the seaplane to accelerate while still obtaining some hydrodynamic lift, but glassy water maintains a continuous drag force."

I guess that windsurfers may have a similar issue, but once they become 'unstuck' it is all systems go from there. Maybe a bit of bouncing and pumping prior to getting on the plane will speed up the transition.

Looking at the spray constantly peeling from the rail. No little flutter from small chop introducing air beneath board.
Hull always in contact with surface.
Must feel unique to sail the Super Glass.

Is Lake George good for windsurf foiling too? Or is too shallow?

Not if you keep your windward rail raised. The glassy water allows you to concentrate on perfect board trim.

It's weird as you have to sail by feel only as you can't see the way the wind is blowing. Sometimes there are dead areas and you'll be flying along and suddenly lose wind or go flying into a gybe , flip and there's nothing!
