Hey if anyone is wanting to book a camp site at the Burrum Heads middle caravan park for the Windfest bad news the park is under renovations so only the front river area is open, and it's booked out. There is another campground upriver.

This year windsurfers are grouped according to the pb's from GPS team challenge. When you enter, please choose your division.
For insurance reasons competitors are required to be a member of AWA - Australian Windsurfing Association or an affiliated club.

First visit to Burrum for me last year and tried it alone. As soon as i hit that magic mile it blew my hat off, and blew my mind! I was so excited i didn't even know it was gone Looking forward to coming back to look for that hat April 20
Burrum Windfest is getting closer - only a couple of weeks to go. To keep costs down we have eliminated late entry fees for the event. This may mean that that if you enter after next Monday you may not receive an event shirt.
If you want to be guaranteed a event shirt you need to register before next Monday. Our T-shirt order for the event needs to be finalized on this day. We always order a few extra but they might not be in your size,

This year, are you substituting 30 minutes for the hour discipline?
Why? if you do 2 x 30min it equals the same :) the 2nd 30 min is the proper part of the challenge and sorts everyone out, yes its hard, thats the entire point.
30 min is like running a 1mile running race instead of running a two mile :) ...heaps easier.

last few years we've never had a full hour of consistent wind, seeing a dozen or so sailors forcing themselves to dredge around to complete their hour is a pitiful sight indeed...
30min for Burrum is a good call... might also get a few unfit people (me now 100%) also having a crack.
