anybody keen for a sail at monmorah or might try fairlight beach doe's anyone know much about it

don't jinx it! it's still a few days out... a lot can change in the forecast.
if you do the drive up from Sydney you should also consider Towoon Bay. It's great in a dead southerly and inside the bay the water is mostly flat except. You can slowly venture out further if you are game enough. If things get to hairy simply chicken jibe and go back in... and so on.
