Hello ,

had a visit to this great spot was on a camping trip with the family last year, really enjoyed the spot and meeting the friendly local sailors. Just wondering, Ive got October off for annual leave and was wondering what the conditions are like that time of year? Is it too early for the NE'ers?

Its difficult say what the wind will be like at that time of year or basically any time of year. It should not be too early for north east seabreezes especially since we have already had a couple of seabreezes already in NSW.

However its just as likely there will be no wind. It all depends on the pressure systems. If we get big high pressure systems out in the Tasman Sea somewhere around Lord Howe Island or Norfolk Island then we will get NE seabreezes in NSW. If the high pressure systems stick around inland and we get troughs sitting along the coast then we won't get much wind.

Yes its a great spot to sail. So good luck with getting some breeze then.

Hey Red, I'll see you there - I'm going down there for the first two weeks of october.

I'm sure Keef will pop up soon and let you know how the winds are around that time. My guess is, there'll be some seabreezes. The water down south will still be cold and we can get some warm air temps around then...

You allways have the lake as a back up. I've been there a few times when it's un sailable on the bay but the the funnel effects on the lake has come through for a good day on the water.

Was there 3 times few years ago in late october (yearly outing with the missus), and the winds haven't quite swung around to solid NEs that early in the season.

Go to Jimmy s Beach, Hawks nest for the October long weekend. there will be a lot of windsurfer there as it is the beginning of the 2010-11 season....Good times

Conditions vary, from very windy westerlies to sweet SE summer breezes...Both great sailing at this location...
