Welcome to God's country

If all you want is waves then prepared to do a bit of travelling.
On its day Longy is a great spot but unfortunately it just doesnt get the wind it used to. Works good in a nor-easter (lucky) and a southerly.
If you venture up to the point, called Butterbox, you can score some epic jumping and waves in a good sea breeze.
Further round is Makaha and is for experienced sailors.
Around at Collaroy basin you can get waves when its huge everywhere else.
Collaroy Beach has the "vacant lot" which is good for blasting but doesnt really get any waves as such.
Further north is Newportwhich works in a sea breeze and a southerly and has the infamous 'reef'. Ask the local sailors for advice.
other than that you can go up or down the coast to lots of different spots.
