Fish Pen in Merrimbula - for short runs- look for Ange's Windsurf Hire (if he's still there) he'll fill you in on the details.

Lake Wallagoot between Tathra and Merrimbula probably best

Wallagoot Lake for flat water in any direction but SW

Main beach Merimbula for NE and SE

Out front of Seahorse Inn at Boydtown, (Twofold Bay Eden) in NE

Aslings Beach Eden in NE or S, SE.

If its blowing we're always out at Eden. Most welcome to come and join us.

(if its marginal may be on a kite though sssssshhhh)

I think you may be referring to Algie (Grud). Sadly, he passed away a couple of years ago - a victim of cancer.

He was always good for a yarn - had some fascinating stories about surfing in the 60s. Shaped for Hayden Kenny at Caloundra.

To my knowledge, no-one prevailed with Algie's hire business - a great pity.

Ah ha!! Was down for the first week of Jan and kept an eye out at Boydtown, but didn't see anyone sailing. I did see a kite though!
