Is foiling allowed/is the water deep enough?

Wednesday night twilights are about encouraging participation in windsurfing. It does however have some customs that may be problematic for foils. The event is started and finished off the beach near the carpark. This area is the shallow part of Iron Cove. If we get Foiling starters we can accommodate that by starting and finishing them from the club pontoon, which has deeper water. As it will then be a slightly different course, the foilers will become a separate division. All participants in Wednesday night twilights are involved in running the event, so if we all do a little bit it works. There are no starters or finishers as such, just racers. The foilers would have to keep track of their finishing order. From week to week we can tweak what we are doing to make it better. If the foiling crew have some ideas on what would work for them PM me and we can see how best to combine all boards in the event.

From the pontoon towards the bridge there is enough water on the racecourse as long as you give adequate clearance of the water's edge.

If you're coming be rigged and ready to launch by the briefing at 6pm.
