Has anyone sailed Smith's Lake in a southerly wind? Southerlies are forecast for later in the week it may be possible for me to stay somewhere round there and go windsurfing for a couple of days. What about some of the other lakes in the area in a southerly? I'm pretty flexible about locations as we have nothing booked and would probably stay in a motel somewhere round there, even if its a bit of drive from the water, like Taree or Buladelah.
I had a look and I think Wallis from the sailing club should work great..Also Neranie sands on the northern Myall Lakes on the road to Seal rocks would be great but launch at the boat ramp..I sailed Neranie in a S but from the cmapsite which required you to work out to above the bay..unreal long run once clear of the point. If you launch at the ramp you should be able to get straight sailing..
PM AJ Easter on this forum- he lives at Port and sails Wallis Lakes so he could give you inside info.
