Where abouts near Byron?

I'm down a few hrs south from there at Coffs (Harbour)
If it's like here, NE dominant seabreezes in summer, Sth busters in winter

See BOM averages for byron Lighthouse www.bom.gov.au/climate/averages/tables/cw_058009.shtml

See climate averages for wind for Coffs http://www.bom.gov.au/weather/nsw/coffs_harbour/climate.shtml

My sail range is 4.7 to 6.5 at 70odd kegs with 105L board, but i'm a beginner

Hi Rico, I am a Byron Bay local. When you get here - let me know and I will hook you up with all the info you need. You may be surprised at some of the conditions you get here. Not to bad for a surf town. Cross shore wave-sailing, cross of wave-sailing and some good old onshore bashes.

I normally only read the wave sailing forum - so if you want to ask any more questions put your post there. Perry.

Oh and by the way - with your kit range you will sail a fair bit if you are keen.
