guy's if you don't want to sail at kyeemagh in a strong southerly because it's like a washing machine, sandringham is a safer bet a little bit lighter not as choppy and if you break any thing you get blown ashore ,at least you get a sail in.

I did have a look at sandringham today but nobody was windsurfing. looked like a great spot in todays strong southerly but I'm not sure how the spot works. When you look at google maps there is that netted swiming area. Is it best to start off south of the nets or north of the nets. The other thing is are there any hidden shallow bits that could trip you up?

Thanks

Hey Mangomania, we usually sail further around at St Georges Sailing Club. I think it's the spot Conan was talking about. There are a couple of rocks close to shore, not too much of an issue. There are plenty of oyster leases across the other side and well upwind, again, not much of an issue if you're staying near the club:

was at St George/Sandringham on MOnday and it was bloody tops. Had some gear trouble well up wind and got back to shore really easy as Mike said.

Ok I know that spot. I was hoping somebody could clarify this, I have herd that due to tidal movement the St Georges location is a bit unsafe?

I have also seen some guys windsurfing further to the south, the shire side of the st george sailing club spot. Is there a rigging spot somewere on Woodlands road?

Cheers
