Since they re-vamped the carpark, I've been launching from the corner of Prince Charles Pde and Balboa St. There are no taps there though.

Is Balboa Street rocky?

a few people have launched at the cnr there and the guy who owns the old house on the right comes over every now again and saus hello- hes told us we are welcome to use the tap across the road,

There are no rocks in this area except for the rock walls - the beachs are sandy and have littel weed compared to tthe area near th e boat ramp,

NWer can be fun at kurnell but it rough - great if you have wave gear
W-NW is primbee in my boook - probably the best direction you can get for lake illawarra, it opens up the windang area which is flatter (but shallower) and where you can do 30 + NMs

In lieu of my poor Rocky pun I will agree with Roar and say that Primbee (Lake Illawarra) is the spot to sail on a Westerly.
