I have been teaching quite a few kids (between 10 and 13 years old) to windsurf at Sanctuary Point this summer with great results. I have been using my own children's gear to do this. I am finding that the children are progressing really fast and are ready for their own equipment within a couple of months. In some cases, their parents are starting to buy boards and rigs for them but there are some who cannot afford it. Others have bought a wetsuit and harness but haven't got a lot left after Christmas shopping for the rest yet. There are also more children wanting to learn than I can cater for. They are all from non-windsurfing families so far.

I thought it is worth checking if anyone has kids' boards and kids' rigs they are not using and would be happy to donate or part with for a reasonable price. Maybe I can pick up or pay the freight. If you can help, please PM me.

Hi Arkim,

I'll keep an eye out for kit in Vic.

What are you after?

Have you approached any stores or Windsurfing NSW?

Thanks!

I guess mainly kids power rigs 2.5m to 4m and kids boards under 80 litres.
Two days in a row there were a dozen kids out here. The age demographic of Sanctuary point is changing.

Hadn't thought of asking shops or WNSW.
