Endless humidity, rain and no wind. Does it not get any better than this?

Thanks for that Moby, it the law must hold true in the reverse. It is 18 knots S x W in Botany gusting to 25 right now on a Saturday in Botany. Pity I'm at work though.

Surely you are forgetting the brilliant public transport system that lets you live cheaply in outer suburbia, and get to the city in only 30 minutes. Who needs to live close to the city when you can do that!

And absolutely none of this would be possible without our fantastic state politicians

I did get out at La per yesterday - conditions were light and variable, not great, but at least I was on the water, first time in a long while it seems.

....and I was sitting on the shore watching it. With all my sailing gear in the car...except my mast that I somehow forgot to pack.

Along with the sunshine...
You gotta take a little bit of rain....

Guys stop winging, Sydney is one of the best cities in the world. Even better if you have light wind gear, if you don't you forego the right to complain.

It ain't just the big smoke Karl. Look at this insperational week... Struggleville even with the big gear. Hanging for one decent southerly front.

I have to 'fess up
It may have been me that (partly) upset Huey

The bottom of my board was a bit like me - old & daggy - so I thought I would re-spray it.

Nice & shiny & smoove. Does it sail better? How the fugg would I know - no wind

But I'm sure it is just not my fault - who else has bought gear in last 8 weeks? Eh?
C'mon fess up you lot.

Yeah Autumn usually sucks instead of blows.

Did a count of sessions this year so far and had 18 in January, 9 in February and 11 in March.

The winter decline is a comin'.

Ok Wineman I will fess up. It was me as well. Just got a new Starboard Atomic 110 6 weeks ago and have been itching to give it go. Hasn't even got wet yet!! There has only been a few days where I think I could of used it but work and family have been conspiring along with Huey. At least the surf has been good for the paddle board.

Well people I was out on the harbour yesterday admittedly on a yacht but what a day only needed 10 more knots to have made it a good day to windsurf. It would have been fine on a wally.
Still the wind will come back and then we will be bitchin about the cold.
At least the swell seems to have picked up

Better for yachts than boards lately..I fess up I bought a 68ltre board for those big days....I got 4 sessions in March - 3 were in 5-12kts..at least i got out!
The rain has been great for getting the drought stricken place looking ok. Now we just need 200mm up here to fill the dams..Don't worry I'll just order it for up here the coast doesn't need it..

All got too much for me...marginal wind, but had to give it a go. 3 others were out at B bay. Still got on the plane here and there.
/Rant
Lower end of the wind scale is just ruthless. 2 knots make a huge difference.

Saturday's Southerly was hell choppy on Botany, but it was gusting up to 28Kts or more and kinda fun if you like a challenge. The 42cm fin that came with my new 115ltr rocket felt way, way, too big, so I had to do some retail therapy and now have some new smaller (30-38 cm) fins to try.
