How cold is the water off Sydney ?

... at the worst of the winter?
I seem to recall 11 or 12C, but not sure.

Just that I was sailing - and dipping aplenty - in 14C-water this arvo, and damn that felt even colder than Sydney in my days.
Or perhaps it's just me getting old...

Doubt it would get that cold ( 11- 12) as Lake Macquarie gets about that cold in midwinter but it doesn't get the ocean currents.
