I know that's dependent on depth whether its open to the ocean..Anyone know what it's like at the moment and any tracks to show where you can sail.. looks like big ESE / SSE maybe end of week..

I haven't tried it but I would think how it sticks out in Lake Mac it would be OK.
Coal Point is not flat in a SE, (it is not flat in any wind direction) but the wind on the run from Coal point across to Belmont bay is clean and strong, coming unimpeded many kilometers. I enjoy sailing there in a SE'er but there is only ever a few of us out there.
U don't have to sail in flat all the time to have fun you need wind for that. Rathmines park is good in Se there are not many spots that are good in that direction If it was 40 knots might get enough to sail at buff point in that direction
