nice one matty, you know something man, you can't make a movie with only a supporting cast, you need a star!! ha, nice vid, everyone looks sweet, yeah, fast mick can tack like a like a legend!!!
Bugger how come I never get there when videos etc are being taken.. Nice sail on the lake. great stuff! Yep I want to be able to tack like Mick.. 1st time I've ever seen a tinnie in the shallows!
The tinnie was used to set up a sliding ramp for a kiter. I had a chat to the kiter and he said the wind was a bit up and down so it was difficult to use. I've taken some footage as well later in the day. One thing I've found is my camera takes bad footage with its digital zoom but its pretty clear with the optical zoom. So I'll try and stitch together a few minutes of the sailing there yesterday afternoon. It will mainly be of Peter, a bloke I don't know of on his old John Hall board, Bill who doesn't like GPS sailing and Sick em Rex.
I forgot me gps bag witch sux could have been good to see the diff in speed between choppy & flat water. had the 6.2 on & was powered up nicely. didn't head down to canton cause it was south, the wind is stronger & constant at valentine, even sort of flat down off the point.
Good steady video considering the conditions! Good that there is some out there taking the time to do things like this! ON AN OTHER NOTE!....l lost left my harness there that afternoon IN CASE anyone has found it l would be greatfull. lt was an old black DaKine Surf-Seat harness. Ph: 0406473574
Here is some video I've compiled from Canton Beach last Monday. We need more windy public holidays!
I did not see any harnesses laying around when we left. On that note I think I might have left a red Gath helmet there. I'm not sure if I did though as I've lost it. It has a GoPro mount on the side.
Thanks for the video Karl, it's always good to see yourself on film. I'm pressed on how good the zoom is on your cam as the bay where Mick was gybinb in at the end would be nearly a km away from where you were. I wish someone would have skewered that annoying kid on the gas bike

Dont worry he'll end up skewering himself one day..
